I have a car battery in my boat, 4 years now. In my car, you'll find a boat battery about 10 years old, still going strong.

If the battery is so heavy that it breaks your back when you lift it it's a good one.

Do not do this. Yes it will work, but you will kill that battery real fast. Deep cycle batteries are designed to deliver a consistent amount of power over a long period of time. Whereas starter batteries are designed to deliver short bursts of high power output. Put starter batteries in your car, and deepcycle in boats and RVs

I have a Deep cycle on my truck for the sound system and it works better than the regular battery colder cranking amps homie :)

I had a deep cycle in my lexus ls400. Battery was 11 years old. Best batty-ever. I was listening to music with the engine off with my sub on for an hour. Zero issues starting. They are expensive but totally worth it

Why wouldn't it? If it has 1000CCA, that"s more than double the capacity of the factory battery- of coarse it'll start it

I use a marine battery in my pickup so when I go to the lake I don't have to carry two batteries. I take the one out of the truck, put it in the boat troll around the lake all day. put it back in the truck and it charges all the way back home. works great 😊

Of course it works on a car the only difference is that the marine battery is designed for applications where a charging system may not be present so it could be drained further for longer without it wearing on the battery life as it would a standard car battery
