Ozark: Jason Bateman and Julia Garner on SPIN-OFF Possibilities

On the heels of the final season of ‘Ozark,’ stars Jason Bateman and Julia Garner spoke to ‘Extra’s’ Rachel Lindsay at an FYC event. They dished on that series finale and reacted to the possibility of any future spin-offs. Jason and Julia also revealed what they will miss most about playing their characters, Marty Byrde and Ruth Langmore.

Jason Bateman is slept on. Dude is a really good actor. He is hilarious and can be serious. Julie is amazing...she will have an Oscar soon enough.

Ruth was my favorite character. At first, I thought, "she's a horrible mess". But then her character developed and she drew you in. You began to understand her and cheer for her. That's what makes her great actress.

After watching Ozark, I love Jason Bateman even more. Also, Julia Garner is now an absolute favorite of mine. She is an incredible actress.

As a fan of "Ozark" I simply clicked on this link not knowing who the interviewer was, but rather I just wanted to watch Jason and Julia dish about how great it was to work on the show, etc. But then a VERY rare occurrence took place: the interviewer was actually VERY, VERY good. Whoa!! Kudos to Rachel Lindsay of Extra. Great questions, and great interaction w/ both Jason and Julia.

They could always bring Ruth back. They showed her alive but bleeding on the driveway. They could open it with the sheriff going to Ruth's house and call 911. There's open possibilities to have Ruth back to life

I just binge watched all 4 seasons in the last few weeks. I loved this series! I was team Ruth from early on and cannot imagine anyone else acting this part. I have always been a Jason Bateman fan and loved his characters calmness and ingenuity. I literally cried at the ending but you went out in total Ruth Langmore character. Or did you? 💗

Bateman has a great ability to get a feeling across without saying anything. His character shows little emotion verbally, but with a subtle look Bateman gets the idea across. And that is a gift

What an excellent interview. This lady extracted such sincere responses from both Jason and that incredibly beautiful Julia. Spoiler alert: I just didn’t like that very last scene. I loved her so much especially at the beginning of the series when she’s presented as the smart girl of “that” thieving family. Boy did she play that role so excellently, and with that Missoura drawl to top it off.
