Just started watching Ozark a few weeks ago. I am hooked... I've been a big Jason Bateman since 1984 and Laura Linney is awesome in everything she does.

Wendy and Ruth are two of my female heroine in television. The way she was weak at the beginning and then taking CONTROL. Ruth so demanding and careless and strong at the same time. Love this show so enticing.

Yes, Season 3 went out with a bang. Ok, plot points for Season 4. SPOILER ALERT (if you didn't know about Ben yet and your not past ep two of Season 3). Ruth has the late Ben's baby. Darlene wants to marry Wyatt so she can hold on to baby Zeke. Wendy wants to raise Zeke since she thinks Darlene is evil. Ruth, who thinks Wendy is a bitch wolf, has issues with everyone at this point especially Wendy and Darlene. She does not like the Darlene and Wyatt relationship. That triangle of Ruth, Wendy and Darlene will make for a very interesting Season 4. Add one other element, Jonah Byrde, who almost shot Helen with his trusty rifle. He wants to go after the Cartel and will become a threat to them, somehow without Marty and Wendy realizing what's going on. The kid will outsmart his parents, and sister. He always has access to money as he needs it, since it's in Buddy's mausoleum. He will become sort of an equalizer on the show. Just my guess of what might happen or could happen with the charactors in Season 4. Marty has a family member of his crawl out of the woodwork. No, he's not bipolar nor does he have issues with young people being distracted by their cell phones.

The 3rd episode of Season 2 is incredibly dark all the way through--not a trace of sunlight--or even color saturation. I'm not sure how much of these dark hour-long episodes the audience can take (not even orange jump suits!). Acting is superb, though I think the audience is itching for a hero. The strangely appealing Del, the charming but mysterious and lethal mobster, might have fulfilled that role but was erased, much to my disappointment and (imo) the show's detriment, at the very end of Season 1.. (Was he too expensive?). So we are.left with the all-American Byrd family--falling into sin and corruption--plus the too-obvious local hillbillies (though Julia Garner is the exception. Her performance as the surrogate mother to her low-life father and brothers and as a creative entrepreneur for the Byrd family is a tour de force by a precocious prodigy. If she doesn't receive some sort of award (the TV version of Oscar?) for "Ozark' (the only series I watch--and primarily because.of her), the TV critics will be soundly discredited.
