Brian I think anything you post is beneficial and well thought out ! I think Tips And Tricks is a great addition to your venue of videos.

Brian -- I like all three of the types of videos.  Your in-depth videos provide information that is not generally available.  Plenty of videos are available showing how to make a certain cut; your videos explain both the how and the why.  Your project videos (president's challenge) are illustrative of the different types of projects that can be turned on the lathe.  Not only do you broaden your viewers horizons, encouraging them to think creatively about projects (why not turn 4 multi axis candle sticks at the same time?); you also provide practical advice on how to make the projects. And, of course, this tips and tricks video is helpful in its own way.  Repurposing a gouge to make a beading tool?  Wish I'd seen it before I bought some beading tools!

Brian, Your videos are always very well presented and easy to follow, whether the President's challenges or various subjects that interst you. I specially like that you always explain your reasoning behind what you do.

Quick Tip was great, you showed more ways to use the beading tool than either of the other videos I found before yours. Good Job

Hi Brian, it's nice to see a blend of video types. Any one type of video will get tedious after a while. This one was especially nice because it's a good way to give a tool new life, save some money and learn new techniques all in one short video! Good one!!

I like all these type of videos - from technique to tools and tips. Whenever you start a new hobby/job you always have to get past the assumed knowledge - people who are experienced forget the small things, the implicit knowledge and it's these things that you're missing when you start. So when you do a video like this I find it full of useful info (e.g. when using a scraper, slow down the lathe)

Hi Brian,
Great video and great idea! I'm going to definitely do this when one of my tools finally gets to the end of its life. I came across you on YouTube not too long ago and have really enjoyed all of them. You explain things very well and go beyond the "how" and explain the "why" which you don't see a lot of. I've really learned a lot of things from you that I didn't know. Having the mix of videos like you do is a great thing. Keep up the GREAT work you do!

Great idea!  I'm going into the shop now to see if I have an old gouge I can transform!

Tips are always good.  They help, more then just watching guys make shavings.  Most people that watch these videos already have their own way of turning but need tips on how other turners are making and using their tools.
