I graduated with a non-tech bachelor’s degree, served in the military for five years, and transitioned into tech through an Amazon-supported software engineer Boot Camp. After facing a hiring freeze, I landed a software testing job at an aerospace company. While I don’t mind programming, I’m unsure about doing it repetitively. Recognizing the importance of cybersecurity, I’ve started a master’s in the field but am uncertain about its direction. Should I pursue Microsoft or IBM certifications and apply for jobs, tailoring my résumé, or continue my master’s? I’ve heard it leans towards a management role, but my experience is limited. Any insights?

Currently a junior studying for a bachelors in cyber and a minor in comp sci. I think I have applied to almost every help desk/ entry level it job in my city, and at least 100 internships across the country. I won't get a response back 90% of the time, and the 10% i do, I am rejected. Its rough out here.
