One parent pays for extra-curriculars but custody is shared - Support Court

Sheila and Walter Carrera both share custody of their child. Walter has been paying for 100% of the extra-curricular activities and is wanting some financial help from Sheila. She doesn't seem to agree with his logic but what does Judge Vonda have to say about it?

Judge said 10, 000 a month. 12 months is $120, 000. Should of been $8, 334 gross. Net about $6, 684 (guessing) a month

She is over paying child support by least $400 a month

Ok first I have problem with how this was played out understanding this is role play but where's the proof all these activities and sports and only talking about soccer also age of the child. Judge did not even take into account 50/50 custody or the fact that Dad did not have sole or primary custody. Both incomes should have been considered and a deviated amount ordered.

Hi Judge Vonda B, I had a question. So I do understand that even if it’s 50/50 custody, the parent with higher income will have to pay more of the child’s expenses if the other parent doesn’t earn the same amount to meet the child’s needs. My question is, is the same standardized methodology used to calculate child support if it’s equal custody? Or is the parent who’s ordered to pay given credit because it’s 50/50 custody?
