I heard it's so they can take it off and put it on easier when they get to the ring. But that makes no sense when most people have it around their shoulder anyway lol I agree, not a fan of the velcro at all. Devalues the belt in my opinion.

I guess I really never paid attention till watching WM last night when I saw the Velcro on the Woman’s Tag Team belt and the IC belt. So incredibly stupid. Definitely takes away from the value of the belts.
