I 1000% thought it was magnets the first time I saw them on air. For display purposes, I prefer snaps. But for functionality on air, use Velcro. Its WAY easier.

I prefer the look of snaps, but anyone who has owned a belt know how long it takes to put it on by yourself lol. With that in mind, the best option is what they're doing now by combining fake snaps for the cosmetic look and Velcro for ease of use.

I have the 1/13 elite authentic world heavyweight championship by wildcat leather that was released at Wrestlemania 39 and it has Velcro. I actually love it. Really beautiful belt.

Snaps look cool but there not practical if I put my replica on I have to the snap it up and then step through middle and slide it up 😂 can definitely see why the TV belts are all velcro

I can't stand velcro! I think the only belts left on the main roster/NXT that still had it is the NXT Women's Championship, one of the Women's Tag Team Championship, NXT Championship, NXT North American Championship and I believe that's it.

Velcro is practical for the wrestlers, but other than that are awful. They come off as toys as opposed to something legitimate and prestigious. The worst is when you hear the sound of it during a promo.. major boner killer.
