What are the chances of miscarriage after fetal heartbeat is observed? - Dr. Shefali Tyagi

You have tested positive for pregnancy and the tension starts whether it is going to be a healthy pregnancy or will it be a miscarriage. The first scan is generally done around 7 weeks to see a small baby with a heartbeat. Once that scan says that that the pregnancy is healthy, you have at least crossed 75% chances of it having a healthy successful pregnancy. In the cases where the chromosomes have not come in properly or the DNA is not proper in the baby, the nature does not support such pregnancies and in the first scan itself we can see that either the baby is not developing or there is a growth lag or heartbeat of the baby is on the lower side. In that case we know that it might not turn out to be a healthy pregnancy and start supporting it with progesterone. But in case the pregnancy is matching as the dates, the heart beat is healthy and it is growing appropriately, the chances of miscarriage after that become low, although they are not totally diminished but the chances of having late miscarriage after you have seen the heart beat at 8 weeks is quite low. So no need to worry after that.

We had one miscarriage already, and I look this up to try to make myself feel better, we are at 10 weeks now, 180 BPM, and according to an early view check, and the doctor, everything it looks happy and healthy! Measuring at 3.17 cm as of yesterday. Feeling really good about this pregnancy going to term!

This is unfortunate for my 1st dating ultrasound bb HB was 95 BPM then 2nd ultrasound it went up to 105 BPM. Ultrasound tech and doctor told me was on low side and wanted to monitor me. why didn't they test progesterone, ? and start me on it ASAP is beyond me ;( ...but knowing that this could have been prevented is absolutely sickening .Healthcare in this country is a disgrace. BY 3RD ULTRASOUND AT 15 WEEKS MY BB NO LONGER HAD A HB 👼💔

I saw the heartbeat of the baby at 6 weeks. The heart stopped at 9 weeks and 1 day.
Now 3 days after hearing this terrible news, I'm still waiting for my body to reject the child.. I have medication that will help with the miscarriage. Hopefully I'll get another chance to get pregnant and hopefully it'll work out this time!

Base on my LMP baby should be 7weeks. But in Ultrasound baby size is for 6weeks 1 day. Is it normal? FHR is 105. My OBGYN told me is either it goes to normal pregnancy or I will miscarry.
I had light bleeding also yesterday. Do I have to worry??

Hi, On Nov 2nd i was eight weeks with my lmp and doc said baby heart beat is very low 60. I am not spotting or cramping. Still feeling pregnant and litlle positive., but doctor said its miscarriage and she ask me to make follow up a week later not prenatal check up.. is there a chance my baby will make it through??please help me.

Heart beat was there-I saw the ultrasound-the baby moved with every heartbeat -it was so tiny.they said it was sfd so I needed hcg injections bi-weekly.i got injection n the first one itself killed the baby-may be it was fake or not refrigerated-I don't know.

Just happened to me....Heartbeat detected Wk 6, no more at Wk 7, ...I am doing well because I promised myself not to make a big fuss with either happy or sad emotions till the 2nd trimester. I am looking forward to trying to conceive again.
