The Chinese Communist Party's Most Feared Enemy Meditates

The Chinese Communist Party is officially atheist, but that's not the reason it fears Falun Gong (AKA Falun Dafa) so much. The reason it fears a peaceful meditation practice is that Falun Gong has been shining a light on the CCP's decades-long persecution campaign against it, the CCP's atrocities against its people, like live organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, and the CCP's disinformation warfare tactics, and why China's persecution campaign affects the whole of Chinese society. To be honest I'm turned off by that kind of woo-woo stuff too, but forced organ harvesting seems like an overreaction. Must not be a very self-confident ruling class if they panic about a bunch of gramas meditating.

What CCP as any communist regime fears, because they cannot afford it is an alternative source of morality. Weather its Falun Gong, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Daoism, Confucianism, or personal morality choices. Communist party, the state becomes the only source of morality and truth, and since they often contradict themselves, they cannot afford any alternative source of morality that would but them in question and judge their actions. 2+2=5. if the party says so, it is so. You cannot question it. It takes the role of infallible divine being of other religions. The only source of truth and morality and hence authority. In that sense Falun Gong is no different than Christianity or Islam. After all Christians and Muslims were persecuted for the same reasons in all communist regimes. What made Falun Gong fairly unique is the rapid rise in popularity that made the communist regime feel threatened and it did not help that it was at the time of internal struggle in CCP, so it was both a legit threat to CCP and convenient excuse for those who wanted advanced in internal CCP power struggle.

Slave labor, organ harvesting, etc., was opportunism where CCP saw a problem and thought about how it can turn it into advantage. But I don't think that was the motivation for persecution, it was motivation for damage control. What do you do with all these people who in communism are not people, they are economic units, so you do what you would do with economic units, you put them to work and you milk them for all they are worth to such a dehumanizing system as communism is.

A striking feature of Marx’s writing is his hostility to Christianity and religion. For example, in the preface to his ‘Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Right’ (1843) Marx wrote:

"‘Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world … It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions’."

Although Marxism has failed as a political and economic system, ironically it flourishes as a secular religion. Perhaps Marxism ought to be regarded as the crack cocaine of the Left.

Regarding atheism, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn declared "Men have forgotten God":

"Over a half century ago, while I was still a child, I recall hearing a number of old people offer the following explanation for the great disasters that had befallen Russia: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened." Since then I have spent well-nigh 50 years working on the history of our revolution; in the process I have read hundreds of books, collected hundreds of personal testimonies, and have already contributed eight volumes of my own toward the effort of clearing away the rubble left by that upheaval. But if I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened."

There is nothing more dangerous than atheist playing god. I am an atheists, but I do not consider myself a God, while communists do.

I was a global leader in part of the counter movement to the falun gong, meant to dilute meditation movements, called “prepare for change” which started in this “lightworker” movement and at its core, the reason why I quit, was that it became a very marxist ideological org.
