Personally, I see Sonic the Hedgehog as the Adam Sandler of video games. They are both a great actor and video game franchise who was at the peak of their existences in their golden ages, but today, is a mere shadow of what they once were.

I honestly like Sonic Unleashed And Sonic and The Black Knight

To be honest, I think Sonic will always be a good franchise. Go, hate all you want, but he's right, Sonic isn't like Mario, save the princess in almost every game. Sonic has had a lot of ups and downs and most series are the same with that, but the problem was...that people don't really want something new from sonic, but the people that love sonic won't think that. And to be honest sonic has had so much hate, give him a brake! I know some of you just completely gave up for the franchise, but you shouldn't do that. If everyone keeps on hating on sonic it might stay the same and that's not because of sega, it's because of the fanbase. But let's not all give up, there's still hope in Sonic and we'll see what comes in the upcoming years, just wait and maybe they'll be a spark of light for Sonic forever 🙂

Bad start already, the classic games changed with every installment
Sonic 1 started the formula and was mostly lacking in speed
Sonic 2 removed your speed cap, added the spindash, used 2 acts per zone and brought in super sonic
Sonic 3 and Knuckles added multiple playable characters which all had different routes they could access which is a different experience every time

This is the part that irked me the most aside from the "all the classic games are the same", no they aren't main series Sonic games. It's like if I said I hated Mario because of the many _many_ bad CDI and educational games.

You basically just gave us a history lesson everyone else has covered to death then left on an ambiguous answer basically adding nothing new and never going into the actual design of Sonics character or anything interesting like that.

the only Sonic games that I think are bad are: Sonic 06, Sonic 3d blast, and the Sonic boom game because the grafics and buggy gameplay also bad CGI I'm looking at you Sonic 3d blast

I agree with almost all of this. The gameplay in Sonic Colors was pretty much perfection, they need to stick with that, but have Tails and Knuckles as playable characters too. Sonic Unleashed wasn't all that bad in my opinion, it had potential, potential that they never used it to it's fullest.
