Perhaps the most important piece of the pull, Justin goes over "The Catch." The first section of your pull, the catch initiates the action of propulsion. When done correctly, you can pull harder, more powerfully, and save the health of your shoulders.

About Sigma Swimming:
Sigma Swimming is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable athletic organization that was founded in 2009. Originally formed to meet the needs of 40 swimmers, Sigma grew from 1 location to 17 locations, with our 18th location being our first stand-alone aquatics facility.
Our unmatched curriculum has taught thousands of children and adults how to swim over the 12 years we've been in business. We are also recognized by USA Swimming's Club Excellence Program as a Silver Medal Swim Team, making us the only nationally ranked organization in Fort Worth, Burleson, Cleburne, and Waco. my style of teaching is and has been to provide as much imagery as possible for all of the skill categories i teach. the beach ball was a valuable tool. the glass wall....great. i'm an 82 yr.old usms swimmer who has seen the progression of competitive swimming for over 60 years. as i teach the older adults and seniors these days i see a lot of the old days!! i love it.

I had completely abandoned the notion of a high elbow catch because my arm just didn't bend that way. I was trying to do it by popping the forearm into the vertical position instead of forming the diamond shape. I took a lot of notes from this video. Thanks for putting this series together. I really appreciate the work that you have done.
