Regarding the last question, I almost went all out when I decided to start content creation: new mic, webcam, 4k60 capture card but I held back and until things kick off, I'm using the xbox dvr, and a pair of turtle beaches to record. You can make any mic sound good by using audacity and some simple editing software can get the job done. There's really no need to spend ANY money when getting into content creation and I think some people forget that but if you want to do it then GO FOR IT, you could end up being the next big thing
