I would like to see a comparison between a M340i and a M340d. Both wagons or both sedans, it does not matter. I know there is a little difference in HP figures between them (34 HP), but an impressive one when it comes to torque (200 Nm).
It would be interesting to see how does the torque compare to higher revs and a bit extra HP.

Having seen this, the result was as expected but honestly I’m not sure the RS5 is worth £30k more than the M440i.

The m440i gran coupe has the B58 engine, which has a single twin scroll turbo, not twin turbos as stated here.

Comparing a BMW M performance model against an Audi RS product doesn't make much sense.

M performance competes with Audi "S" models.

Full "M" models compete with Audi RS.

The relatively close race goes to show how good BMW m-performance models and the b58 engine are.

There is no way an M440I is 42k. The M440i models (coupe, Gran coupe and convertible) are made to compete with the S5 (coupe, sport back and convertible) and all are priced over £50k when new.

These cars shouldn’t be pitched against one another. BMW does well against the RS but would like to have seen it up against the S5.
Given the difference in weight, the RS should have stopped much quicker than the BMW.

I'm not a fanboy of either brands, but the Audi is almost 30k more, wouldnt it be more fair if it would race against an M4 for example?

Those M40i engines have way more power than 374hp. Its more like 400-410 ish.
