I am greek. I've visited 8/10 destinations you mentioned (haven't visited corfu and Rhodes yet).

I agree with the list especially city of Thessaloniki as 1st choice. However I would exclude Mykonos and Santorini. It's just 2 mediocre tourist raps island with bad beaches, that old rich people visit. Don't go there, also Athens (my home city) is something I would recommend the least. People are impolite, criminal rating is high for the same reasons Paris criminal rating is high, however overall it's difficult to find a bad place to visit in greece. Just don't visit during August. Too overcrowded and pricey for many reasons. September is warm month too.

But there are some secret paradises in west Greece: Arta, one of those paradises!
Warm people, traditional and yummy food, festives with modern and traditional music, museums, modern cafés, fresh air, green and a clear atmosphere...
