Foreshadowing is a very important aspect of the film. One of the main turning points of the movie is when Coraline meets the three ghost children who had their eyes taken by Beldam, the Other Mother. However, during Coraline's first visit, we can clearly see framed silhouettes of the three children on the wall. This adds an extra creepiness to it all, as not only did Beldam kill the children, but also added their pictures to her wall after.

Did you know that when the beldam yelled "I'LL DIE WITHOUT she's meaning that if she doesn't eat Coraline she will starve to death because Coraline Takes the key with her and gets rid of it no one can enter the other world since the key is now gone the beldam can't eat regular food she eats children but since no children can enter she can't eat anything so basically Coraline makes the beldam STARVE to death ☠️💀

Did you know, that when we see the "Welcome Home" cake in Coraline, there is only one loop in "Welcome" and two loops in "Home". In linguistics, 1 loop in an "O" means the writer is telling the truth, while 2 means they're lying. So Coraline is welcome, but she isn't home.

Also when Coraline meets Spink and Forcible, Spink said she and Forcible couldn't bare to let go of their dogs go so they had them stuff and displayed like objects, foreshadowing what the Beldam will do to Coraline treat her like an object because she wants something else to love besides herself.
