There's no need to go to regedit. Just open the powershell as admin, then enter this command:

reg delete Defender" /f;Set-MpPreference -UILockdown 0;

After that, restart your computer.

Guys I tried the 1st step there wasn't even a folder for windows security, which meant my windows was corrupt or something,
So I went to Settings>System>Recovery
Then clicked "Fix problems using Windows Update"
1st time I did it, the virus and security came back, then I did it again just to make sure nothing is wrong,

Now I think it's fixed

Virus and Threat protection is not in my regedit

Neither solution worked for me. Also, the virus and threat protection does appear for me under the list of protection areas in the Privacy & security settings window, but when I click on it and it takes me to the Windows Security window with the security at a glance, it is not there and it gives me an error saying "Page not available" Your IT has limited access to some areas of this app, and the item you tried to access is not available. Contact IT helpdesk for more information. This is my private computer and I am listed as an admin on it so why is this not working?

Im create file in registry and set value = 0
Im trying reset my computer and delete the newly created file. Reset again and it worked

1st method I cant find the windows defender security center in which it only shows Windows Defender and Windows Advance threat protection in which none of them have the virus and threat protection although the second one it was already disabled for me and it still didnt work my microsoft version is currently at 22H2 i dont know what i am doing wrong

there is only one folder in Windows Defender. Defender\Policy Manager. gpedit is not opening in win 11 home.

Can you turn off virus and threat protection with Windows 11 Home Edition or do you need Windows 11 Pro?
