2. Open HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
(1). DisableAntispyware
(2). DisableRealtimeMonitoring

Step 2 :
1. Open Windows PowerShell in administrator
2. Set-MpPreference -UILockdown 0

Just wow! I have struggled with this problem for the past week! My virus&threats protection page suddenly disappeared after an update. This really solved the issue!! Be careful to run powershell in administrator if you want the command to work! Thank you so much!

none of this works just check for anti virus update in your windows update setting.

Windows 11 x64 Pro. From Build 22621.1702 ISO I updated for Build 22621.2134. After Update Windows Security not working. I have tried a dozen different methods like this method and the problem remains the same. After installing Windows, I immediately did Update and got an error.

just install avg antivurys free and then start scan all remove fix all issue then close, no need to buy this software, after you can see avg antivirus will be shown in Virus and threats option now is available and opening thanks me later i tried more than 20 method but this helps me avg is great
