Been reading up on it and finally bought it. My first smart phone. Been holding out all this time and drudge along with an Alcatel Flip phone with Tmobile. It's a very good phone for the price. I'll hang on to it and wait to see what new, cool feature OnePlus can bring next.

the secondary camera makes the 8X zoom possible. It is also (like you have two eyes) meant to see depth, software will compare the image of the two camera's so it sees the depth and in portrait mode it'll make things that are further away a blurry goodness while your subject will stay crisp

Going from night mode on the OnePlus 6 to the iPhone 11 was such a huge difference when I upgraded! Photos on the iPhone are often times actually good enough to use, making it the first smartphone camera I have ever owned that actually allows me to shoot at night and get good photos. Really surprised me that that was the camera feature that excited me most.

You have to question any multi lens camera setup when comparing to the pixel 3. We've probably reached the physical capabilities of smartphone cameras, so to sell more units manufactureers now have to create artificial 'innovation'.

Honestly I've never seen the point of multiple cameras, but as reviewers talk about it and consumers demand it, Oneplus probably had to comply. Would have loved to see them go with a solid one lens camera like the pixel and invest money elsewhere...

I don't know why no one is talking about how unlocking this phone with finger print is a 2 step process now. You wake up ur phone screen with either the power button or tap on the screen, then press the UD finger print which may take a few trys if ur not lucky. All the videos I have watched so far has some issues with it. Basically making the unlocking process a LOT slower than ever. Side note, removing the 3.5mm jack is a super dick move that no one asked for. Thanks for listening to your fans, OP.

2:22 mark. Not so much speculation as much as it is a lack of research of work product. OnePlus has said an IP rating would drive up the cost of the phone about 30 bucks. Ever tried the Google machine? Here ya go.

"As for the IP rating, the OnePlus 6T will be more water resistant than the OnePlus 6 but the cost involved with gaining an IP rating is prohibitive. For OnePlus to undergo that certification for the very very few users who “go swimming” with their phone would make the phone approximately US$30 more, something they were not willing to do."

I went to Digital Walker yesterday in Ayala Center Mall in Cebu City and they didn't have any 6T's to show me except in the sealed box. They refused to open a box to show me the phone. I said ''all the other cellphone shops around you have at least a mock up to show their customers''. They told me ''Oneplus doesn't have any mock ups. You have to buy it in a sealed box''. I was dumbfounded. How does Oneplus expect us to buy a new phone without even being able to handle it?

Best review I saw so far of the OnePlus 6T, as an 5T user I can say that I like this phone but doesn't impress me so much either. Then maybe i will consider to switch brands. Huawei and Samsung being the alternatives I will have in mind with the OnePlus 6T. As always I love you Angie!

Finger print animations are not to distract you from noticing the slowness of the sensor. This type of sensor uses light to read your finger print I believe? That's why that have to pack that animation as bright as the screen can go as to read your finger. I think.
