OnePlus 6T Long-Term Review | Worth it in 2019?

Long-term review of the OnePlus 6T, ahead of the launch of the OnePlus 7. Should you stump up for the 6T in 2019, or wait for the new OnePlus flagship phone to hit the UK?

The OP6T's camera tech isn't as impressive as many rivals, while the Honor View 20 offers some stiff competition, but we still love this great-value mobile. Despite its age, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset still provides speedy performance and excellent PubG gameplay. Battery life remains strong, and we've had updates to several OxygenOS features to improve them.

That dual-lens camera is still slightly disappointing, however. We hoped that OnePlus would boost the 6T's photo skills, especially the Night Mode, but it hasn't happened thus far. And with the OnePlus 7 just around the corner, boasting some better specs including the new Snapdragon 855, is 2019 a good time to buy the OnePlus 6T?

Just a tip for fellow 6T owners, there is a very simple way to get the mclaren edition fingerprint animation which not only looks better, but also makes unlocking the phone with the fingerprint way faster and more reliable. The reason for this is because it lights up your finger a lot more than the other animations.
Also, get the google camera APK, it drastically improves the selfie camera.

You can get the Mclaren fingerprint sensor in the oneplus 6t which is faster:
- download settings database editor on the app store
- make sure system table is selected at the top
- find
- edit value
- change it to 3
DONE simple as that

This video really helped me decide to get a 6T. A year and a half later and I'm still loving it. It still performs brilliantly and I'm getting great battery life out of it. Longer term reviews of devices like this are getting fewer and further between as the market gets more saturated so I appreciate that you made it, especially given the pressure on YouTube to always be talking about the latest things. Keep up the great work! :)

Not as spec heavy as my S10+ but for the value it is well worth it, if you have the option id wait and look at getting something like the S11e, or invest more and go for the flagships S11 and S11+ but that just me and its hardly looking for value for money when those devices are pretty pricey, even on contracts.

Dude, I'm still using the 5T and it's totally worth it in 2019, it's freaking buttery smooth and on Android Pie; asking if the 6T that came out a couple of months ago is worth it is dumb.
