This is interesting, as I have this camera and I also use a Rode mic this way for my own Youtube channel. Just a good get going camera. I do need to work out a way to improve video quality though, and the mic take adjustment to get rid of the hiss even with Rode. Let us know if you have more information with this set up.

Hi Luke, I can't seem to get rid of a hizz sound that I get on this camera when recording video, even when I use a rode Go mic. It seems to be lacking audio settings. Any ideas on how to remove it?

I have exactly the same camera. The problem I have is that I can't connect the EOS 700D to my PC from mini HDMI to HDMI. Is there a solution? I want to make videos live or run them through a program so that I can edit them later.
