The Rise & Fall of Sweetie Pie's Owner Robbie Montgomery.

Robbie Montgomery was a former member of the Ikette's the background singers to the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. She left the Revue in 1965 and started her own group the Mirettes a spinoff of the Ikette's. She developed sarcoidosis, which caused her lung to collapse that halted her music career permanently. She moved back to St. Louis and opened her first soul food restaurant Sweetie Pie's that consisted her mama's soul food recipes. She was the star of the OWN reality series of the same name. Due to serious criminal matters pertaining to her son and grandson's murder she shut down all of her Sweetie Pie's locations and in 2015 the Welcome to Sweetie Pie's reality series was cancelled.
