The fact this was a 4 min video scared me but it was simple as if you lose control. Thanks man.

I did my test 2 months ago, my examiner asked me how to use the window wiper I knew how to but was to scared of losing control whilst doing it (I never have before but it was my test so I was scared) he didn’t even count it as a minor haha I think he forgot it wasn’t in my pass report 😂

If you fail the eyesight test before the practical, I think it means an immediate fail/termination unlike a serious/dangerous fault where but you would have to drive back to the test centre although the examination can stop if the learner is driving dangerous ly. The eyesight test is to see if you can read a number plate from 20m away.

And to answer the videos question : no, unless you already have 14+ minor faults or 1+ serious/dangerous faults or driving unsafely while doing the show me question

I think it is a good idea to look in the mirror before attempting a demister turn on. In case you slow down a bit. Make sure there are no hazards ahead then look down at the area where the switch is. At this point you can reach out and operate the switch. Sometimes it takes more than one attempt and you may need to wait pass hazards between attempts. My car has twenty tiny buttons crammed together next to the radio and I still need to do it like this.

I failed my test today doing exactly this (show how to de-mist rear window)! I didn’t think I had gone over the lines or lost control however I did look down to find the button to push and in a flash of a second he grabbed my steering wheel and I knew it was over! I literally went down hill from there! The two posts on both sides of the car to slow traffic down, he told me before I reached it that I was going to hit the left one so grabbed the steering wheel again, then towards the end was a parked car far out in the road.. I had no space to move to the right however was told I was too close and another grab of steering wheel.. when he asked if I didn’t see the car I said I had and he replied “what if they opened their door?!” It was a parked car with nobody in it but nonetheless I failed. I was told to go straight at the roundabout and thought I executed it beautifully however I was told I didn’t look in my left mirror when I indicated to change lanes (I was in the left lane so had no need to indicate so I didn’t, there was nothing to my left, just a wall but I didn’t check anything wasn’t coming from that wall!) Im honestly confused on the check left mirror in the left Lane to go straight on the roundabout part.. The rest I feel was questionable but 🤷🏽‍♀️ £150 for one test and I’m having to re-do it again now!

I kind of find the show me questions rather irrelevant, the tell me is a fair enough but the other isn't even showing your driving skill which is what the test is actually about. You're not calculated on your mechanical mind lol I just find the show me is really pointless and I think its a part of the test which is meant to "catch you out" so to speak...

I was taught 20 years ago when coming up to a roundabout to change down from 4 to 2 gear. My gf has just started to learn to drive and was told that wrong. Why do they keep changing ways of driving ??

As a non English native, I would rather get a minor than remember all those answers. It just doesn't worth the time and effort and the nerves to memorize all those things during the test.
