We lost another legend today; Tina Turner passed away at age 83. She went through a lot, but came out on top; credit to her strength and tenacity. Her music will live on; my favorite was “Private Dancer”❤❤❤

I have a special memory of this tune. In 1978/79 I was a senior in high school. I took a PE class called social dance where we learned to cha-cha, tango, waltz, etc. For our recital my partner and I along with three other couples created a kind of new dance for this song. We called it the disco cha-cha and we preformed it for our school and got a standing ovation. It was awesome.

This was one of the best dance songs of the 70's and when it was played everybody got on the dance floor. More funk bands and groups that you haven't reacted to....Lakeside, Brass Construction, The Fatback Band, Slave, B. T. Express, Con Funk Shun, Graham Central Station, Ohio Players, Mass Construction, The BarKays, Mandrell, Cameo, Sun Band, etc
