"Writing Sci-Fi Vs. Other Genres" is a bad title for this video.

OK, as a writer of sci-fi / horror myself, I do like what you and your team have produced visually with Sentinel. (This is something I couldn't do.) and you should be proud of that. However, while watching I was waiting for the story to kick in. This feels more like a very well done scene from a full length film, rather than a short. I personally felt like I was left very confused as to who your protagonist was, why he was in the situation, where he got the skills he had, what the numbers meant, and why I should connect to him. I felt as though I had missed a whole chunk of information leading up to that moment and was just watching a climax to a film. When writing / producing a short it still needs to have a narrative of some kind, this could and would slot perfectly into several sci-fi films. But, on its own there, (again in my own opinion), it doesn't have a strong enough narrative.
Saying this, what I saw was interesting, and I did want to know more, which is the mark of a skilled creator. And it has made me want to know more about the world, protagonist, and aliens.

The reason I am putting this hear instead of on the video itself is because I clicked on this video wanting to hone my own skills in my craft. Did as instructed and watched your short and came back. Only to continue watching to find you talking non stop about Sentinel. And did not talk at all about the writing aspects apart from to say you DIDN'T write a script. I am trying to justify the title of this video in my head, but I can't.

I am glad to have seen your work in Sentinel, and don't stop working on your craft. (Please don't take anything I have said, as anything other than constructive criticism. I'm afraid I have been working too long with editors in some capacity and I have become very blunt as a result.) If I didn't think your work was good I wouldn't have bothered.

The "SENTiNAL" short is definitely a "game" kinda like "The Running Man" and the character had a certain amount of time to get from point A to point B (timer on his wrist) and the sci-fi drone was just an obstacle he had to overcome....am I close?
