Can this chicken hatch out some eggs?

I saw this hen inside the nesting box and I wanted her to hatch out some eggs, so I put ten eggs inside this coop I made for her with food and water. Hopefully she will hatch out these eggs and maybe they will all be fertilized. As long as she doesn't stop bring broody all of a sudden, I think it should work.

Sometimes hens get very articular about their nest.

For example I have a small hen named Dooble that's been absolutely spoiled beyond reason. When she first began laying eggs she would roost on me for hours and snuggle as close as possible until she passed the egg the first couple of times she laid. Now she has one specific box she will roost in outside and channels her inner dinosaur when someone tries to move her. She absolutely refuses to lay OR brood in any other box. Even if it's an arguably better box, It doesn't matter. It's not HER box and she will fight you on it... And has... Multiple times...

If you want them in that one specific spot I'd recommend either opening it all the way with some fake eggs down to lure a broody hen into sit on them and replace them with fertilized eggs once the target has been acquired. Or set movable nest boxes you can put inside the broody pen so she keeps her nest and she's wherever you wanted her in the first place.
Personally I just let them brood wherever they want as long as it's a roosty box and implement a 'mommy tax' by putting a little feed in the box with them when I spread seeds for the other chickens. That way mommy bird doesn't go hungry or have to leave her eggs as much. Water is much harder to get them to drink when broody though...

Ok just a quick thumbs up maby your hens dont sit on the eggs beacuse you move them a lot so keep them in the same spot, if she has gone broody just mark her eggs and collect the un marked ones in the evnings, she will protect her eggs from the other hens, but if you have a submicive hen that does not attack the other hens that get too close to the nest, then move her over to that coop but let her have the eggs into that dark corner chickens dont typically like to have there nest in brought day light they like to be a bit more coverd and hiden, and if posible move her whith that box it might stimulate in her mind that she is still in her old place and eventualy hatch them eggs .
Hope that helps !❤

I love your chicken coop that is pretty much my dream coop

You need to get her used to the place and make sure it is safe for her to sit on the eggs.

You should do it at night and in the same box she became broody. Also if she is still in the box at night is when you can really tell they are broody

Place her with crate in the breeding coop, instead the way you do now.

Try taking the nest box with her in it and put some more eggs under her!

If you cover the hen with some basket for few hours till she sits on them may help

You could try bringing her crate with the eggs

i think what you should do is leave the hen where she is if shes broody and like take the other hens and rosters into different coops. idrk cus i dont have chickens but that seems to be the right choice 😅

If you want eggs to hatch and your chickens won't do it just get one of the warmers. I don't know how much they are but I know that you can go buy an egg warmer for chicken eggs. I forget what they're called but when I was a kid they brought in an actual egg warmer with live chickens and they even hatched in one of the classes that I was in.

When we have a broody hen we move them during the night when it's dark, and that doesn't seem to break their brooding.
