As Black person Vini and Brazilians claiming racism for him not winning is pretty desperate. I actually think Vini benefited from Brazilian football privilege. He should not have been ahead of Bellingham who had a better season than him with more goals and assists and won Real Madrid and La Liga player of the year and helped get England to the Euros finals. And I look at Saka who has more goal contributions than Vini Jr 4 out of the last 5 season, outperforms Vini jr in international tournament football yet only comes 21st on the Balon Dor because he is English. If Saka was from Rio and was called Sakinho he would respected and hyped a lot more given his stats. Real Madrid bet on the wrong😊 horse least likely to win out of loyalty to Vini and split the vote for Rodri who is a deserving winner.

According to Ronaldo fans : 2009-2012 Football was "rigged" beacuse Messi won 4x Ballon d'Or, 2x UCL. 2014-2018 Football was "fair" when Messi lost WC final in 2014, lost two Copa America finals in 2015, 2016 while their idol won 4x Ballon d'Or, 4x UCL, 1x EURO. Football became rigged again in 2019-2022 when Messi started winning trophies with Argentina and won 3x Ballon d'Or.
