Chasing 8 Brand New Canadian National Engines

Chasing 8 Brand New Canadian National Engines. I was out railfanning trying to catch a few trains on March 21st 2015. We're over by the Norfolk Southern tracks and heard a horn at a distance so we waited patiently and a few minutes later we saw train coming.

He started to hit the horn as usual as he crossed the grade crossing at this location and we started to notice there was more than just a couple engines, in fact there were 10 engines total on this train including the 2 CSX that were leading. As it got closer I could see that they were brand new Canadian national engines, 8 in all!

So we follow the train for about 2 miles filming as much of these engines as we can they're beautiful brand-new locomotives GE ES44AC Models that were built at the GE plant which is about 50 miles west of here and they were being delivered to Buffalo New York and then to cross the border into Canada to Canadian National. This is one of my best videos ever I believe! What do you think? Let me know in the comments section!

I had seen some of the CSX PULLING cupple of the new engines from Saskatchewan into Alberta Canada and I was perplexed thinking with most of the videos I've watched CSX is mostly states what are they doing pulling cars/ engines here? Then my uncle that used to work for CP explained it all to me.

Fantastic catch! Some of those CN units are Tier 4 Credit Units and some are Tier 3's, meaning they can only be used in Canada.
