What SURVIVED in Our GARDEN over our WEST COAST WINTER

In our first video back in 2023, we show you our garden on January 15th and show you how well some of our crops did over the winter months.

We get a fairly mild winter here on the west coast of Canada with very few days below freezing, but we did have a big snow fall this year with over a foot of snow for a week. It's amazing how some of these vegetables survive.

Looks like we'll be switching from La Nina to El Nino in Feb/Mar. Hopeing for a better year for PNW coastal gardening. Thanks for the great content.

Thanks for the update! I've tried to grow brussel sprouts without success for years. I'm in the south. I bet you'll have better luck.

Love how you guys are keeping it real. Best way to inspire others is to show the reality, so people dont get down when their gardens aren't insta-perfect all the time.

I finished leaf lettuce in the greenhouse last month when a cold spell hit. Still got carrots under cover in the garden ( bag leaves ) which I will dig up later. SE New Brunswick has been warmer this winter but nothing like you have..looks great!

Did you get any mushrooms from your beds last year?

You know, with all the potatoes you grow you might consider making gnocchi. it's potato pasta. :)

Looks like southern BC including Vancouver Island, Lower Mainland etc is expecting snow starting January 30th for at least a week. Polar vortex on the way. Hope they're wrong!
