I love how everyone's instinct in these pale gardens' challenges is to burn down the forest.

Also, the reason why the creeping heart isn't working is because it needs to be samwitched between 2 pale blocks of any kind (I.E planks, logs, leaves, ect) ((actually, don't quote me on the leaves))

The way i survived the first few days is by building my base above ground on the trees (they cant spawn on leaves)
The first thing i did is speedran building a roof above my box on the trees
that completely negated them goobers (phantoms)
in that area there was a hole in the floor that had a staircase going town, which was covered in wood blocks.
The point of that is so i can go mining without issue.

Ive been playing in a mostly pale garden world, though im on bedrock so no just pale garden world. Ive been using pale oak, stone bricks, and a bit of dark oak for some color honestly SLAPS

I once had a ton of diamonds and two netherite ingots, so I planned to duplicate my one netherite upgrade to get a netherite sword and chest plate. But then, I used the one netherite upgrade I had, and didn’t duplicate it before hand. So I explored the nether and found a bastion a few hundred blocks away, and was hoping to get more, but a piglin brute knocked me into the lava in the center and forgot where the bastion was. 😅😅😅😅
