This is just shocking, heartbreaking, unbelievable. I wasn’t aware of Aphasia before the reports came out about Bruce. He’s such a strong, witty man, it’s hard to think of him otherwise. He’s our movie hero, a great man, a beautiful smile that makes you smile, the star we stole sooo many lines from. He’ll always be our badass Bruce Willis. I wish he received a miracle.

I had it 3 years ago after a traumatic brain injury. Luckily for me, I've recovered 95% and am back at work. I still have trouble with multi-syllable words - like yesterday, I couldn't say "extravagant" correctly. The good news - your brain and intelligence is still there - so please don't treat victims like they're not there. They are. Good luck, Mr. Willis :)

My thoughts are that if you know someone has been officially diagnosed with something like this, you don’t say their past interview was “bizarre.”You are bizarre for using such an inappropriate word, the man is sick and it’s sad so try to choose your words more carefully so you don’t look like someone who doesn’t have a heart or a brain. Maybe throw in something that resembles compassion as well.

My father was diagnosed with aphasia in December 2020. It's a very fast and heartbreaking disease, to where we are today... my father can no longer speak, maybe only a few words now before getting "stuck". Its been hard and my heart goes out to Bruce and his family, you are not alone. <3

If anyone deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award it is Bruce Willis. You are in our prayers, Mr. Willis.

Very sad and unexpected. Aphasia is a symptom, not a disease per se. Having worked in geriatrics, my guess is he has some type of early-onset dementia or he had a stroke and they kept it quiet.

I love Bruce Willis. This is absolutely heartbreaking. And they just announced he’s been recently diagnosed with dementia

One of life's cruelest diseases, forgetting all you've ever done, forgetting all of those who love you and who you love. I watched my grandmother go through it, it is horrible.

This one hits home. My dad had a major stroke in July last year and he currently has aphasia. His cognitive function is there mostly but he can say very few words. It's hard and the worst is just missing your dad and being able to hear them speak. I am saddened to hear this about Bruce and hope for the best for him and his family.

I grew up watching this guy
20+ years. This definitely hits home hard. Thank you Bruce for all the entertaining works, my prayers go out to you. Stuff like this makes me count my blessings/never take anything for granted no matter how insignificant it seems. Go bless you Bruce Willis

You are wrong!! I’m a dementia care practitioner for 20 years. They do lose the ability to speak with FTD. You can’t say they have the ability to speak but they don’t make sense. They lose this ability and at times the only reason they don’t make sense is because they try to communicate to appear that they can carry on conversation. Some of them have not just one type of dementia but with other type as well.

We have so many wonderful things to look forward to in our old age. I'm so sad for Bruce. He always seemed like a wonderful person!

It's so sad for an actor to not be able to communicate. I am grateful to Bruce for giving us joy, laughter, thrills, et al when he could. And he is still valued for who we know he is inside.

How could that Red 2 interview be 6 months prior from the Glass interview when Red 2 was released in 2013 and Glass 2019
