Hi Justin, Tdubs and boys! Glad y'all had a great 4th. Hope all is well. All is OK for me too. I do enjoy following you and watching you! Thanks for the great vids. My teeth are all pulled and my mouth is basically all healed up. Dentures coming in a couple months. Don't know why I'm telling you all this, but getting my mouth taken care of is the biggest thing in my life now. Just living in a care center (nursing home). So it is really a delight for me to be able to live the trucking life through your eyes. THANKS! and be safe! LW

DOT rules state that if you do not have a sleeper you MUST show hotel/motel receipts in place of sleeper berth time. For instance, if you are running a day cab you ARE NOT ALLOWED to be "off duty" or "sleeper berth". I went through this whole ordeal not to long ago driving a day cab training another driver.

You can run the road with a day cab legally. Just have to do your 10 in a hotel and keep receipts that match your logs. Go off duty instead of sleeper berth

Enjoyed your video for the 4th July. We have our turn of the fireworks on 5 November, Guy Fawkes Night. So quite a long wait. That security man you spoke to may have still been getting over the 4 July. A little comatose perhaps? :) :)

You can use a day cab OTR, but you probably need to keep your receipts for hotel/motel because you have to prove you didn't sleep in the day cab. The day cab doesn't meet the requirements for a sleeper berth. reg 393.76

I’ve had that thought myself, getting my cdl this fall and thinking about starting out with a day cab and just running local or runs I could do out and back home for the night until I save enough to get a sleeper, gonna try and work my other full time job as well, which allows me 24 on and 48 off. It seems the options are endless in the trucking game.

If you're looking for a great cheap waterpark check out HolidayWorld in Santa Clause, IN. Their claim to fame is wooden roller coasters, but they have an awesome waterpark as well. One ticket gets you into both parks. Free sunsceen and softdrinks

We stayed at a Wilderness in the Smokies in Pigeon Forge, TN and it’s almost the exact same setup as Great Wolf Lodge. Had a bad experience at a Great Wolf in Sandusky Ohio. They had half the pools and water slides closed and the ones that were open were beyond packed with people March 2021. So check ahead that they have everything open before you book.
