I rent a fully furnished house for $810 in Coyoacan and it includes a balcony, garage, wifi, cable, gas, electric, water and security. That was the best deal I found on Airbnb. I plan to renew my contract every 3 years indefinitely. I have no plans on going anywhere else.

Hey Adalia!! It's great to get the cost of living from a single person perspective. Most cost comparisons I find online are based on a couple. It can be difficult to get a realistic idea as to how that would relate to one person because you cannot simply divide the total in half. Thanks for the info!

I'm so grateful for this additional video. I just watched the one you did with Rashida. You mentioned $1000/month to live comfortably. This I found to be discouraging because that's a little under what I'm currently doing my best to live on. You've itemized the costs and so I'm feeling better about it now. I'm strongly considering Mexico City. Chiapas is also appealing.
At this point, I'm still intending to leave Albuquerque. The overall cost might be the same, but it would appear that the quality of living would be greatly improved.

If you live in Mexico City why pay for Spanish lessons by a lady from Honduras? You're gonna be confused by some of the Spanish they speak, if you live in a Hispanic country, learn the Spanish they speak locally.
