it CAN get expensive but it's not just kitties...owning a pet period is expensive but it's worth it at the end of the day when they cuddle up with you or just give you a look with their adorable little faces

I always tell everyone to PLEASE consider even just a cheap AF pet insurance ASAP, because Once they have a condition it can't be covered by a new policy. Can always upgrade to a nicer policy later as they get old or if they become disabled. Speaking as someone who had to make hard choices once things hit 5 figures... Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Thanks for doing this! People really need to understand that cats too require money. Idk why so many think cats are cheap pets. I mean sure, any pet can be cheap if you don't take proper care of them and only give them the cheapest dry food and never take them to the vet. They will suffer and die young though. My boys lived to 18 years. Both had chronic illness towards the end and let me tell you, we could absolutely not take care of them if we hadn't constantly saved money for them. We had to sacrifice almost everything we wanted or needed because it got so expensive towards the end. They both lived happy and long lives. Our vet always told us how well we took care of our boys, how there was literally nothing more we could've done for them. We loved them so, so much. I hope Banana will live at least as long as my boys did ❤️

I got my cat from a shelter 2 years ago. She was 8 weeks old at the time. She had just been spayed and had her first two sets of immunizations. Total cost $80. A shelter is the way to go. She has grown into a beautiful cat.

this is a much-needed video for those irresponsible pet owners who get a pet and then dump them cause they didn't think things through. Owning a pet can be expensive and takes quite an effort to care for them.
It is not just cuteness and cuddles but being responsible for a living being.

I literally got my cat from a pound for 60€, came with all the checks done, spayed, chipped, everything. We pay 200€ a year for an insurance that covers everything and spend MAYBE 30-35€ a month on food and litter (we buy periodically).

I don't think that I have spent more than 100 dollars for my dog last year and it even had a skin problem that required a few months of medicines and treatment. Other than that he is perfectly healthy. My aunt has a cat and she told me that monthly expenses are no more than 30 dollars a month. I live in Bulgaria 🇧🇬 by the way
