Australia fires: Preventing the spread - BBC News

Wildfires have devastated parts of Australia, and hundreds are still burning - mainly across the south-east of the country. Meanwhile, authorities are trying to contain the blazes and prevent them from spreading further. There are still 8 to 10 weeks of the bushfire season ahead.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
Then wait you for the Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke,

يَغْشَى النَّاسَ ۖ هَـٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Covering the people: "This is a painful torment.
"

رَّبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ
(They will say): "Our Lord! Remove the torment from us, really we shall become believers!" [Ad-Dukhaan 44:10-12]


إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُهُ ۚوَتِلْكَ الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَاءَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
If a wound (and killing) has touched you (Muslims), be sure a similar wound (and killing) has touched the others (polytheists). And so are the days (good and not so good), We give it to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allah likes not the polytheist wrong-doers. [Ãal-Imraan 3:140]

فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۖ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۖ وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
They were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: "Who is mightier than us in strength?" See they not that Allah, Who created them was Mightier in Strength than them? And they used to deny Our Ayat (Signs)!

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ
So We sent upon them a furious wind in days of evil omen (for them) that We might give them a taste of disgracing torment in this present worldly life. But surely the torment of the Hereafter will be more disgracing, and they will never be helped. [Fussilat 41:15-16]

تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا لَا يُرَىٰ إِلَّا مَسَاكِنُهُمْ ۚ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Destroying everything by the Command of its Lord! So they became such that nothing could be seen except their dwellings! Thus do We recompense the people who are Mujrimun (polytheist criminals)! [Al-Ahqaaf 46:25]

أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖفَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ
Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning. [Al-Mulk 67:17]

وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ لَّمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ
We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. So their gods, other than Allah whom they invoked, profited them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they (their false gods) add aught to them but destruction.

وَكَذَ‌ٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَىٰ وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ
Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) the towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful, (and) severe. [Hud 11:101-102]

كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ الْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
Such is the punishment (in this life), but verily, the punishment of the Hereafter is greater if they only knew. [Al-Qalam 68:33]
