I live in Portugal and only this year 10% of our forest burned.
In my municipality/county 80% of the land burned in just 1 night 10 days ago due to hight temperatures and winds from hurricane Ophelia that passed a few miles from our coast. Factories and homes were reduced to ashes, and people died in other parts of the country, more than 100 this year.
