How to fix a stuck tilt and turn window

Here's the solution for when the handle is stuck and the window opens "diagonally": Solution
1. Pull the window out sideways, as though you've got the handle pointed upwards
2. At this point, the handle isn't upwards, and won't move upwards
3. Look along the edge of the window for a kind of "button" or "lever" that you can press - it should be about half way up
4. Hold this button in and you'll find that the handle now has more movement
5. Move the handle all the way to the top
6. Close the window sideways
7. The window should be fine now

These windows are pretty cool, but this one was broken, stuck between both open settings, it wouldn't close. Here is how I fixed it.

I just had a very similar problem this morning, now thankfully solved! I was cursing this modern window technology and muttering under breath that if I ever get this bloody window to close I'll never open it again! Fortunately after half and hour of jiggling it about and pressing this and pressing that, eventually it closed like it should and the handle became normal again!

Holy shit. I did fix my problem by watching this video but only because watching him turn the handle made me realize I had just been turning it the wrong way this hole time. I’m an idiot.

Diagonal window opening problem fix: The handle is stiff so with the window open, press in the latchbolt to trick the window into thinking it is shut. The handle should now move between 2 positions. Close the window, gently press the loose top bit and move the handle - it seems to correct itself. The key is to depress the latch on the side by the handle - this frees up its movement.

What do you do if it is stuck and doesn’t want to open either way ?? Mine stuck between the 2 opening positions and I can’t open it :(

When the handle is facing upward it opens into the room from the side, and when the handle is in facing the middle of the window, the window pulls open from the top and leaves a little gap while it is still latched at the bottom, but right now it is opening sideways into the room while the bottom right latch isn’t connected, so when I try to close my window the bottom right is the only part sticking it untill I let go of the window and the top bit tilts out... what do I do?

If this video didn't help (because of a different model like mine) then you could try moving a little thingy that is sticking out of the bottom left corner of the window from the outside side
it just kinda sticks out but you can move it towards the window but it just bounces back out when you stop holding so you if you know which thing im talking about then you could try holding it down and then turning the handle

this happens when you turn the handle while the window is not fully in the frame fix is easy you need to punch one corner of window with your hand while the handle is in the same position as when it happened. fixed mine broken out of the frame window this way.

My only room window is stuck while being open tilted (with the handle up). A piece of wood fell from the top straight to the bottom of the window jamming the window and preventing it to close. Is there a way to remove the window while being open?

When the handle on 3 o, clock it should be on tilt lock not fully open like yours .

when the handle is turned halfway, my window tilts open. when the handle is turned all the way up, it should turn open like a door, but i cant turn the handle past halfway. any suggestions?

Sounds like your missing a fuhr tilt turn striker bottom tilt keep plate pivot tip safe. From the bottom of window frame.£7.25 you will more than likely see two screw holes where ones missing
