I love both instruments. I'm actually torn between learning the violin or the viola. I love the violin for its sound, its expressiveness, and the vast repertoire available. But I also love the viola for its warm, deep lower register. So I'm wondering, can the violin 'imitate' that warm, rich sound of the viola in its lowest range?

I've always loved the tone of the Viola!! It's incredibly smooth! Viola gets no love, but I prefer it over a violin.
