Square Enix Says EVERYTHING is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2!

Square Enix today dropped huge news for the Nintendo Switch Successor, Switch 2. They are committing to release all their games on the platfrom, including every AAA franchise.

This should have been Square’s strategy since the beginning, their strength is their multi platform strategy. No need to make exclusivity deals unless they work with Nintendo on their own ips but this gives me hope that they will aggressively pursue switch 2 day one.

I honestly don't see FF7 Remake or rebirth coming to Nintendo platforms, I can see future titles as it would probably be easier to develop games starting with the multiplatform goal in mind from the start.

I grew up with Final Fantasy on NES and SNES, with FF3 (US) being the best Final Fantasy ever created. I would love for Square to come back to Nintendo in a huge way.

Is SE learning that making everything exclusive to a platform that insists on censoring and is losing values in stock because of it not worth the trade off?
Or are they going the same route EA did with the Wii U, and _technically_ supporting the system with everything they have, just with later releases and butchered content?

Tbf, they also did Bravely Default and Octopath exclusively on Switch. At least at first. But still, id give up those as exclusives to have Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest and Kingdom Hearts at launch.
