I personally would love a Ray here in US (Hawaii) having been driving a 2016 Soul EV 27kwh . Don’t need the American Mainland “range” but having van sliding door on a small car is my dream setup

If I had the choice, I picked the RAY over the INSTER. The RAY is even more practical and versatile. Unfortunately in Europe I will not have the opportunity to choose. But there is one remaining question: Is there an option for a trailer hitch for these cars?

Hi! We suposed to have get a petrol version Hyundai Casper, but there in Jeju-si, they handed us the keys to a Kia Ray, also the petrol version with 14 inch wheels, just two month ago while holidaying on Jeju Island. Belive it or don't, this Kia Ray did somehow grow on us. We did love the sliding door, especially while shopping around Seogwipo and since we kind of lived out of the back of the Ray, very practical (would not mind having two sliding doors!). We thoght this small engine will give us greef, driving up and around Mt. Hallasan, no it did not, we managed to do the 70 to 80km / h along the gently windings. It even climbed up the roads nicely. The head room was excellent, the air-con did good and the storage shelves above the front screen was nice to have. Anna, my wife said: I want one! we might never get a Ray in Australia. Saw also the Kia EV3, wow, what a head turner!

Turn signals for Inster needs to be at the trunk lid at eye level for most normal size vehicles in the back to clearly see.
Kia Ray is more likable even with the missing B-pillar on the right side.

don't kill the messenger but I think that thanks to the ICE keicar regulation (I apologise, can't remember the Korean name) we have these EVs. They kept the market/segment alive, and now we have these great electrified models. This is a perfect use of EV motors. It's great that you have the range, but what is more important, you have space and technology. another great video. thank you!
