The FT45 is by far my favorite tool. Ideal really outdid themselves, especially because it's compatible (and works well) with non-ideal brand feed through connectors. Ron, I love your videos and have learned so much from them. Keep up the great work!

These ez crimps are the only way to go, once you have used them you will never use a traditional connector ever again, also a good tip is to twist the wires tightly at the end of the connector before cutting/crimping, this pulls the jacking tight in to the connector, and keeps the strands in one neat bundle, from flying all over the place like confetti.

Forgive a stupid question; I'm a software guy (mostly). What's the physical difference between the CAT5 and CAT6 plugs? The only thing I can tell is there's a shorter distance of straight wire to the pins. If that's all, why make CAT5 plugs when CAT6 is backward compatible?
