If you found $42,000 amongst donated clothing, would you return it? This answer was a no-brainer for Goodwill employee Andrea Lessing. She found $42,000 wrapped in old clothes and immediately alerted her manager so that the owner could be found. The owner of the money was a veteran of 30 years and he rewarded Andrea with $1,000, which she put into her daughter's savings. Andrea begins to tear up when Kelly shares that her friends at Pilot Pens will award her an additional $1,000 for being a good samaritan.

Andrea you have a good heart sadly not everyone does the right thing but good deeds are rewarding, you deserve this so much for being such a beautiful person. I have found a few things in my life that I have returned to the rightful owners, I found a couple of purses that I tracked down the owners plus mobile phones, bank cards etc it brings me such joy to give it back to the person who lost it. I have even seen people drop money (I'm in the UK & we have really annoying bank notes now that are like plastic & very easy to lose) I stop the person to give it back to them, they are usually surprised as they don't expect people to not take it but as I tell everyone I have helped it isn't mine to keep 🤷🏻‍♀️. Keep being such a kind, caring, beautiful person this is how everyone should be & you deserve anything good & positive that comes your way 💛

The question here is if the money she turned in went back to the owner

lol $1000 not even a 10% finders fee! Karma was testing the owner or the money, they were to give more, now karma will make them lose more than 42k
