I AM LEGEND: Movie vs Alternate Ending

Will Smith's 2007 hit film I Am Legend had an ending that divided audiences. But there's an alternate ending that does a little more justice to the classic book. This video will look at just how different the two endings were.

I’ve always preferred the alternate ending because it shows that there weren’t the mindless monsters they were thought to be. They had enough humanity to hang on to their capacity to love. They were trying to survive, not just destroy.

The theatrical version just turns the story into mindless popcorn flick.

in the book, he´s the monster that threatens them. The movie goes the other way since the beginning so it´s obvious the alternate ending doesn´t match the rest of the movie like it does in the book.

I really love alternate ending, cause it can be continue to the next second movie or we can make it by imaginated our own, Just same thing happen to World war Z, both still wishing will be second movie, But not 😭, this movie is really awesome, different kind of zombies 👍 8/10 for me

I think the deleted ending would have been better if the main guy and the alpha were brothers, for example image the movie instead of the main guy being haunted by PDST about what happen to his family he still has that but, is also haunted by memories of his brother being infected dragged off by the military, and he was thinking he was dead this whole time but, in fact his brother survived and became the alpha, the main guy realizes it is him when he sees a tattoo on his arm that his brother and he has and the alpha sounds like it is trying to say his name, this would be a good reason why the alpha forgive him even after all the darkseekers he killed and it will have symbolism of one brother symbolizing the past the humans and his dead family a dead end where the other brother symbolizes the future and a family of his own with the alpha female. I want the ending credits and the part where the main guy is sitting down after everything that happen to be playing the song Oscuro - Chasing Time.

I've watched this movie 4 times on line. It wasn't until the 4th time that I saw the theater ending. I was so disappointed. I prefer the alternate ending.

Whether people loke it or not, the ALTERNATE ending will be used as canon for the sequel. The original theatrical ending will be ignored. I preferred the alternate ending anyways, so I'm fine with it.

What was with the lion tho? Just put a random lion in the middle of the road in the city and some the zombie didn't eat it like why? Like you have humans literally dying and becoming zombies but a random lion is completely untouched

I’m sad no one said anything about the slap. I was thinking you have Chris rook head on will smith and dark seeker as will smith. I would pay to see that movie.
