This movie shows the danger of social isolation. It was imperative for will smiths character to maintain some kind of “normal social life”. He didn’t need to return that video to the video store and get a new one, he knew he was waving at manakins. But he needed to get out, he needed to interact, he needed to live.

When I was about 10 years old, I went through a phase where I said hi to all mannequins I walked past. One time at H&M I pat a mannequin’s leg and said “hi” but looked up to see it was an actual guy sitting there LMAO
