I guess playing in front of Heifetz would give someone a panic as such

I love how the pianist starts playing every single time 😂

When I was his student One day Heifetz brought a half size bow and told me to play with it. Saying since I don't use enough bow in general this half size bow would fit me.
Ever since that embarrassing lesson I fixed the habit of not using enough bow.
Deep thanks to Heifetz.

No animosity, no ego. Just knowledge and skill

I feel like I am about to shit right into my pants while watching him teach many decades after his death. I cannot imagine being a student of him, trying to play right in front of him. Look at his attitude, he is one hell of a serious teacher.

I love the sincere honesty of Heifetz. He calls the problem like it is, then helps the student solve it.

You can actually hear what Heifetz was talking about, without even being a classically-trained violinist. Just a difference in quality and experience.

God's Fiddler, Jascha Heifetz.
The greatest inspiration to any violinist. I will NEVER reach his level but I will always admire and aspire to improve because of him.

Oh goodness I put this on my playlist as a violin tutorial. I didn’t know this was about Carl Jung’s archetypes XD. Thx for posting this btw. Wish me luck on performing my violin recital. God bless ✨🎀

Absolutely absolutely the right technical advice!

I think I'd be panicky if I were standing in front of this great man too. In fact, I'd probably freeze up altogether.

There is just no equal to observing a master of his art displaying the qualities of his skills with such ease and fluency. It is the purist and finest inspiration.

Great advice. Often fear makes us shrink, literally. Using more bow might help us feel more confident, and in this case also more rhythmic.

Heifetz always kept everyone in stitches with his zany jokes! Not known for his warm, open personality!

I’m going to wander around saying “more bow” now, thanks. 😂

The panicking is confidential at the same time.

Wow, what a musician he was. Holy moly, that made me nervous watching that guy play for him.
