Visible VS Verizon | Who Should You Choose?

Verizon beats Visible in this comparison, but Visible may be better for you if you care about cheap prices and good coverage. Verizon is best if you want faster data, and more perks!

You’re deciding between Verizon and Visible Mobile, today i’m going to compare the two in a few different categories and see which Carrier comes out on top. The categories are
- Coverage (1:00)
- Internet speed (1:31)
- Plans (1:53)
- Pricing (2:15)
- Perks (2:42)

After each category I'll award either carrier a Gold Star, the carrier at the end of the video with the most gold stars wins!

Now before we jump in, Visible is owned by, and operates on, Verizon’s towers and network. Even though Visible and Verizon are almost the same there are some key differences which I'll be going over in our category comparison. Our first category is Coverage.

COVERAGE - TIE
Now because Verizon and Visible run on the same network, their coverage is the same. Of the big four carriers Verizon has the most nationwide coverage. So if coverage is what you’re after, you can’t go wrong with either carrier. Because of that, we’re calling this one a tie and giving each carrier a Gold Star. Next up is internet and data speeds.

DATA SPEEDS - VERIZON
Because Visible and Verizon are on the same network, generally speaking the internet speeds will be the same HOWEVER when there is congestion on Verizon’s network, Visible customers may get throttled which would slow down your internet speeds temporarily. Because of that, we’re giving Verizon the gold star, although it is a close call. Next up… Plans!

PLANS - VERIZON
Off the bat Verizon has more plans to choose from, hands down, so we’re giving them gold star. Visible has one plan that is hard to beat, but if you want variety, Visible isn’t your guy. Next up, Pricing!

PRICE - VISIBLE
Technically Verizon does have cheaper plans than Visible but Visible's lone $40 unlimited plan absolutely blows Verizon’s unlimited plans out of the water. Verizon can’t really compare with their cheapest Unlimited plan starting at $65 a month. Because of that, we’re giving this gold star to Visible! Our last category is perks!

PERKS - VERIZON
Visible and Verizon each have perks. Verizon offers free Disney+ for a year with all plans and free Apple Music with a select few more expensive plans Plus you get Verizon up which offers you weekly discounts on different brands and products and with some plans you get up to 500GB in cloud storage.

Visible offers party pay which is similar to Verizon's family plans where you pay less for the more lines you add, but the difference is, Visible's party pay doesn't put you all on the same account. Which means you don't have to worry about covering the other lines if they don't pay

Plus you get an unlimited hotspot, some Verizon plans also come with a hotspot but the speeds are throttled after you use up all high-speed data. Because Verizon offers more in perks, we’re giving them the Gold Star.

FINAL TALLY - VERIZON 4 | VISIBLE 2
After 5 categories Verizon has come out on top with 4 wins in coverage, data/internet speeds, Plans, and perks! Visible had 2 wins in coverage and price.

Just because Verizon won here doesn’t mean they are best for you… For instance you should choose Verizon if you want to spend a little more money to avoid throttling, you want more plan options, and free Disney+ and Apple Music.

You should choose Visible if you want an inexpensive unlimited plan that includes an unlimited hotspot, Wi-Fi calling, and all the same coverage and internet speeds as their name brand parent. I only need unlimited 4G data with unlimited hotspot and USB tethering with no 2G throttling. I don't need perks. So Visible is the better option for me. Been with Visible for months, and been using around 100GB a month. Consistent 480p video with no buffering. Only $40 a month tops.

Verizon has roaming agreements and old 2g & 3g to fall back on in very rural areas.. visible has no roaming and is strictly LTE only

Visible coverage isn't as robust as Verizon's bc they don't have the built in domestic roaming agreement or access to tower sharing like Verizon does. Verizon can use T-Mobile and AT&T's towers to have a more complete coverage. Visible has access to Verizon's core towers.

For me Verizon was a clear winner, having used both. Although the coverage was the same, Visible being deprioritized constantly in my area essentially made data completely unusable. (0-0.01mbps) After switching to Verizon and using the priority data, it was definitely worth it.

Other perks from Visible (based on my research): Your first month is ONLY $25. If you purchase device through Visible you’re usually getting a discount paid back to you. Gift cards are usually $100-$300 after X days with them (I cannot recall the specific amount of time before receiving card). I will also add that Verizon does the same thing with family plans - the bills can be private/ separated from each other.

I have watched a couple video reviews and wonder if you...or anyone else currently using Visible could clarify coverage for me. I used Mint Mobile for over a year without issue in Washington State. I started traveling frequently across the US and found quickly that if I was in a rural area with no large city near...Mint Mobile was useless. I basically owned a paper weight with zero signal. At one point I travelled across eastern Oregon, thru Utah and into Colorado and for over a week I had zero cell signal. I was forced to switch to Verizon and pay ridiculous prices...but I have decent to good coverage regardless of where I go. Visible being part of Verizon is compelling but initial info indicates that just because my Verizon sim gets good coverage...it does not mean that Visible will get the same coverage because of different agreements between carriers in cross over or fringe areas. Has anyone experienced this issue? I really appreciate you taking the time to post the video and help folks like me make a better decision...I would hate to save the money but turn my phone into a paper weight again!

But I want to keep my current phone and number. I checked the website and put the IMEI number and its not compatible with my phone. I have LG Stylo 5. What phones ARE compatible??? I don’t want to pay $200 for a new phone. The cheaper phones are out of stock.

Unfortunately V s ble is not for us because we have a google watch and a gizmo watch, and they only provide coverage for Apple watches.

Honestly all I heard was visible is exactly the same as Verizon but at a better price I could live without free Apple Music for a while 😎 and not so worried about throttling since I’m always on wifi thanks for the video 👍

They are actually the same. They are are also "NOT AN MVNO CARRIER". So for those claiming that they are an MVNO carrier, please know the difference. An MNVO carrier has to rent off of other carriers to use their towers, whereas carriers that are fully owned by their parent carrier are the ones not needing to rent off of other carriers just to use their towers. The only difference is, is that Verizon's coverage map still has the 3G on it, while Verizon's Visible is already up to speed with having VoLTE/LTE only coverage network. Plus Visible does not have roaming. Verizon is going to an all VoLTE/LTE network by the end of this year.

I tried both side-by-side, Visible is great, so long as you don’t need customer service. They are horrible at fixing issues, it took in about a week to fix the issue that I did have to give me up and running again. But as far as service, when it works it’s just like regular Verizon.

I got visible I use a unlocked phone on visible I always get good speed I like visible my visible is not ever throttled I get good speed from visible also stream with it on my TV with hotspot works great
