The main issue is the loss of Kroos. They reached their highest peak, so with the loss of Kroos the Downfall. As a Madrid fan, when Kroos declared he will be retiring, that worried me since he is the orchestrator. Now, my worry is now being a reality. So I am not really surprised since this is a transition period just like what happened when CR7 left. I mean, it took almost 2 years to figure out how they will play without the CR7's 60 goal per year contribution. Same with now, we are just months removed from Kroos retirement. Since we don't have a direct replacement, the team learning how to play without Kroos, the growing pains is there and I already expected this. It is not also helping that Courtois, Alaba and Carvajal are injured and Mendy(Fran Garcia should be starting) and Militao are off form. Ancelotti should figure out a system that will make the current players co-exist and the players should step-up.
