Ancelotti understands that extraordinary players will create extraordinary solutions.

Pep : inverted fullbacks, high lines, box midfield
Ancelotti : the power of friendship

Ancelotti adapts to players style; Players adapt to Pep’s style.

2:27 don carlo literally saw what modern managers cant see: if you make all your players run the whole, then they will drop in level and lose their ability to lead the offense (like odegaard or szoboszlai), thats why you need the balance between workhorses and game changers (reason why too young or too old teams dont work)

provides freedom to his players, doesn't compromise a player's freedom and still ends up winning
For me he's a goated coach

Don Carlo and his ability to adapt his tactics need to be taught and more appreciated.

He's been able to bring out the best from flair players while making thr teams work

His Everton stint is pretty good before the injury storm.
Nobody thought Calvert Lewin will be that effective

Ancelotti is the only manager to destroy Guardiola. Carlo's Real Madrid beat Pep's Bayern 5-0 in CL semi-final - he beat them 4-0 in Bayern's own home. Pep has never been destroyed and humiliated like that

FYI, Carlo Ancelotti is for me a GOATED coach given that he was a born winner and under him 4 different players won the Balon D'Or.
Also, a fun fact is that he never lost against Bayern Munich whenever he met them as opposition.

Don Carlo is my favourite manager of all time. His Madrid teams have been fun to watch, but his Milan team…wow! There may have been some ups and downs, but they were an absolute joy to watch!

Ahhh i can still remember when both the Bayern München Fans and the squad rebelled against Ancelotti for "not being good enough" and "not having the Bavarian dog in him".

Good times, i will never cease to remember them.

Ancelotti stood the test of time. so many years at so high level, without actually requesting billions to form a squad. Builds a squad from what is available, not the other way around. The GOAT in my eyes when it comes to coaching.

Its only natural that a more simplistic approach is succeeding right now. The overly planned through game by Pep and others is consuming itself.
As a Stuttgart fan i watched the match vs Real and it was a joy to see how much freedom Carlo especially gives his wingers. Great match between two teams who play attractive football. Players allowed to do dribblings and longshots reminded me of the 2000s when the beautiful game was at its peak. I hope this trend will continue and Peps leash will rip for good.

And this season the tactic shifted again to accommodate Mbappe with Jude sacrificing himself to go deeper. Just like Benzema, great players know they will shine bright even when they sacrifice themselves.

One crazy fact is Carlo met Pep guardiola, Klopp and Tuchel total 8 times in UCL Knockout fixtures ( counting 2 leg matches as one fixture) and won 7 of them🤯.
Don carlo Owns these so called great tacticians😂😂.

If you look at his overall career, he played good football, never lost dressing room, can manage any team, when every major league title and champions league. Tacticos have really made him very underrated.

I really knew Ancelotti was GOATED during the Napoli and specifically the Everton adventure. He got Everton to click. He utilised the tools at his disposal and yes he brought in James but he just really changed the narrative for Everton. I’ll never never forget him pulling 1-0 against Arsenal and ARTETA tried to explain just using maths and data how unlikelyt Everton’s win was. I just remember thinking like Ancelotti had them believing themselves and even had them standing up against the rivals Liverpool. They had no fear and as an Arsenal fan and football fan I was so happy for Ancelotti and Everton. They were both appreciated. There was just humility and elegance.

You have such a beautiful choice of words. It makes the video flow so well, giving it a satisfying pace without overwhelming the audience as you time your points perfectly. I have lots of respect for your attention to the intricacies of his play, and for your attention to the details surrounding the aging team and the problems Ancelotti faced with the squad. I also really like the visual aspects of the video, as it makes the explanations regarding specific players' traits and link ups very apparent, especially as it relates to the rest of the pitch.
