As I learn more about the original Quakers, I am finding validation for my own experiences and beliefs, as well as for my work. The core Quaker belief was that God is Love and we can directly connect to Love/Light/God through our own Hearts. And I realize the truth in this, because I've had experiences with it, since going through a grieving/healing process in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Since then I have felt that when we release the suppressed pain that blocks our Hearts, we automatically connect more deeply with Love/Light/God. This is why my work has focused on embracing our feelings and healing our Hearts, in order to bring more Love and compassion into our world. Many people have put me down and thought I was crazy. So, I am glad to be able to back up my realization with a stand for people who had also found the same reality many centuries ago - the original Quakers. I feel much less alone now, even though I do not know if any of the Quakers had realized how people can deepen their direct connection to God, through focusing on healing their own Hearts - through focusing on releasing the suppressed emotional pain that blocks Hearts and avoiding feeling numbing pharmaceuticals and other substances that block our Hearts from Love/God.

Well, this actually makes a lot of sense to me. I'm from Mexico and we don't have many quakers here, but I wish we had so I could join them and see how are their meetings.

Some of the best employers in the UK were Quakers, They actually cared about their fellow man, with many providing decent housing for their workers and better wages. Unlike those so called Christians who have nice churches, and powerful sermons.

There are so many parallels between the Quakers, SDAs and UUs, but somehow they all ended up in totally different places

My favorite of all the denominations,
I became a Quaker at age 22 because it made the most sense to me

I wish I could have Quaker friends in every country on earth

If you peel over the flowery language, the "inner light in every person" rhetoric sounds very much like references to "human dignity" in international law. In that sense, Quaker seems quite compatible with secular, humanist institutions in modern time.

I was raised in a Quaker/Friends Church in a very small community. We had no physical sacrament ceremony, just the period of silence where anyone could share what the Spirit of God is moving them to say. No water baptism because Jesus said he was baptized with water, but we who accept him will be Baptized by the Holy Spirit and Fire. We had a piano. We had a main Minister at the podium directing the service and giving a word without any notes, because his words had to be spontaneous from the Holy Spirit. I recently learned that there are Friends Church groups that wont even use the word God. I was shocked. Because ours was totally Christian centered.

Remember the old Quaker Oats commercial "Nothing is better for thee than me."

0:44 hey! 😮 that resembles my christian assembly a lot, minus the not practicing of the 2 sacrements, and the traditional men preach or give up a song or pray alloud, only if lead,

I am glad that Quakers dont join the military or dont go to war.
Micah 4:3
"They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning shears.Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore".
All of 1:45 JW dont go to war.

Have you done a video on an organization called the Missionary Church? Also a video idea. Would you be open to making content analyzing non denominational churches or individual ministries (like say Mike Heiser) to see what they most closely align with.
