Prince Doran Martell ~ I Was The Grass

A tribute to one of my favorite characters from A Song of Ice and Fire. Let's remember who Doran really is - the grass that hides the viper.

The audio is from a wonderful dramatic reading of Doran's Water Gardens speech by Valkyrist. I only wish some of these lines had gotten into the show.

(The Daenerys Doran mentions in this speech was the wife of an ancestor of his who built the Water Gardens. The Targaryens have a habit of reusing names.)

Great tribute- I wish more show viewers watched this and saw what a wasted character Doran was in the show. This speech and the 'Fire and Blood' reveal have to be some of my favourite book moments
